Center for Research and Creative Activity

The Center for Research and Creative Activity (CRCA) was established with financial support from the Davis Educational Foundation to broaden participation of students and faculty in the high-impact practice of mentored undergraduate research and creative activity. The mission of CRCA is to increase student engagement toward greater student retention, persistence, and degree completion.

As such, the immediate goals of CRCA are to 1) increase visibility and access to existing opportunities, 2) provide resources and support through programming and partnerships on and off campus, and 3) adapt and develop best practices for cultivating a campus culture inclusive of research and creative activity. To support these goals, CRCA has a staff of three individuals, a Faculty Director, an Outreach and Partnership Coordinator, and a Navigator Guide, as well as a Steering Committee of twenty members from departments and organizations across the campus.
