The Office of Residential Life and Housing is happy that you are interested in becoming part of our community. Once you have paid your $200 enrollment deposit through Admissions, you may access this link to secure a place on campus for the fall 2010 semester. You must first make a $220 housing deposit by clicking here which will take you to our housing deposit payment page. Once the deposit has been confirmed (this may take a few days to a week), you may continue the application process by completing the Freshman Housing Questionnaire found on the My Housing link in the Student Center under the Self Service section of your RIConnect.
Please note: Freshman students who complete their housing deposit process by May 15, 2010 will be guaranteed housing for fall. All others will be housed based on availability at the time of deposit.
The Office of Residential Life & Housing makes every effort to offer housing to those students who are interested in living on campus. However, because of limited housing space, we cannot guarantee housing for transfer students. We have a waitlist process that allows transfer students to place their name on our list. As space becomes available through the year our staff will offer housing to those students on the waitlist in the order that the requests were made. Click here to complete the form to be placed on our waitlist Students on the waitlist do not make the housing deposit until a space is offered. At the time of acceptance, a student will have 24 hours to make the housing deposit. If not, the space will be offered to the next person on the list.
Current residents may participate in our room selection held in late spring where they can select their room assignment for the next academic year. In late February/early March, current residents make a $220 housing deposit which indicates their intention to participate in the room selection process.
Current Residents can no longer make housing deposits. Current Residents can now click here to complete the form to be placed on our waitlist. No deposit is required until we make an offer for housing. At the time of acceptance, a student will have 24 hours to make the housing deposit. If not, the space will be offered to the next person on the list.
Please note: Only current residents are allowed to participate in the room selection process. More information about how to select a room will be available through information sessions held in the residence halls in March/April.
As a current student of Rhode Island College, you may request to live on campus. We will open the waitlist for current students after we complete the room selection assignments and know where we have available spaces. At the end of the spring semester, we begin to combine the current student and incoming transfer waitlists and make assignments based on date of request. Click here to complete the form to be placed on our waitlist. No deposit is required until we make an offer for housing. At the time of acceptance, a student will have 24 hours to make the housing deposit. If not, the space will be offered to the next person on the list.
