All others will be housed based on availability at the time of deposit. Freshman students cannot complete the Freshman Housing Questionnaire until after May 1, 2017.

Incoming Transfer Student

The Office of Residential Life & Housing makes every effort to offer housing to those students who are interested in living on campus. However, because of limited housing space, we cannot guarantee housing for transfer students. We have a waitlist process that allows transfer students to place their name on our list. By returning your housing interest card to the Office of Admission, your name will then be added to our waitlist. As space becomes available through the year our staff will offer housing to those students on the waitlist in the order that the requests were made. Students on the waitlist do not make the housing deposit until a space is offered. At the time of acceptance, a student will have 24 hours to make the housing deposit. If not, the space will be offered to the next person on the list.

Incoming Graduate Student

On-campus housing is open to all interested full time graduate students who wish to reside in a residence hall, but housing assignments are not specific to graduate students only.  Interested students should contact the Office of Residential Life and Housing for more information.

Current residents who want to live on campus for the Fall 2017 semester will need to pay the $220 deposit to their MyRIC account.  Deposits are due by the First Friday in March.  Additional instructions on how to pay the deposit can be found here or (copy and paste the following link into a browser:

Current residents who do not pay a housing deposit by First Friday in March can join the waitlist on May 1st. Spaces will be assigned following based on the available spaces following the 2017-2018 room selection process.

Current Student Not Living on Campus

As a current student of Rhode Island College, you may request to live on campus.  We will open the waitlist for current students on May 1, 2017, after we complete the room selection assignments and know where we have available spaces.  At the end of the spring semester, we begin to combine the current student and incoming transfer waitlists and make assignments based on date of request.
