My professional training is in cultural anthropology and archaeology with regional specialties in the Eastern Mediterranean, especially Greece and Cyprus and Colonial New England. My research has ranged from social and economic change in rural Greece to ethnoarchaeology in Cyprus. I have also done research on urbanization, sex and gender, and identity in modern Greece. Other research interests include anthropological and archaeological film.
