Document Delivery (ILL)

The purpose of the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service is to provide current Rhode Island College students, faculty, and staff with access to materials for research and study which are not held at the Library. Such materials might be books, journal articles, dissertations, government documents, or any other materials which another library is willing to lend or copy for student's or faculty members use. The James P. Adams Library, in turn, lends materials for the use of patrons at other libraries. Interlibrary borrowing and lending is a standard service provided by most libraries for their primary users. Books owned by the other HELIN Libraries should be borrowed on site at those locations or through the HELIN Loan feature of the online catalog.

  • Only current Rhode Island College students, faculty, staff and emeriti faculty have Interlibrary Loan privileges.
  • Please submit no more than 5 ILL requests at any one time.
  • Costs for ILL borrowing are the responsibility of the individual requesting the material.
