One of the finest meta-sites in the communications field. Well-designed menus with good topical organization in all areas of the field.
Outlines the process involved in preparing a speech with links to examples and to sites containing further information. Generally well organized but watch out for simplistic suggestions (i.e. "Search library collections worldwide" - why? You'll find more than adequate data via HELIN) or inaccuracies (i.e. "Search library card catalogs" - We haven't printed a card around here in over 10 years!).
An excellent chronological presentation of American oratory from colonial times to the present
Includes audio and video clips, as well as full text
An extensive glossary with linked examples
By far the clearest web presentation of the structure, devices, and figures which make up classical rhetoric
note: The American Communication Journal is an entirely electronic peer-reviewed journal, freely available on this site.
Offers access to opinions, ideas, and commentary from dozens of English-language newspapers worldwide
