Honors Projects and Master's Theses

The student is required to submit one original paper copy to the library for Special Collections, with fully-completed approval/ signature pages. Additionally, the student can submit a second copy of their thesis/honors project which the library will bind and send to the student's academic department.

Model title and approval pages for Honors Theses are available at the Honors webpage under Departmental Honors Projects. Model title and approval pages for master's theses can be found in Appendices B1 - B5 of the Graduate Studies Manual.

It is highly recommened that each student submit a digital copy (Word document or PDF) via email to digitalcommons@ric.edu for inclusion in DigitalCommons@RIC, the Institutional Repository of Rhode Island College. In the subject line of your email containing your digital copy, please include your last name and the type of thesis (i.e. Jespersen, Honors or James, MAT).

Students should submit a printed copy of the Deposit and Access Agreement Form (Word Version or PDF Version) and submit with their project.

Printed copies and the Deposit and Access Agreement Form should be turned in to the Technical Services Department, room 201, Adams Library. Students should call Chhann Ya (401) 456-1903 or Linda McEnery (401) 456-1902 for an appointment.

 

Doctoral Dissertations

Each copy should include a title page and a completed signature / approval page. Copies must be printed on one side of the paper only. The URI Graduate Manual Section 11, gives full instructions.

Students should submit two copies to the Adams Library. One of the copies should have the original signature page. This copy will be added to the library's special collections. One copy should have a photocopy of the signature page. This will be sent to the RIC Co-Director. Students are also requested to print out the Deposit and Access Agreement Form (Word Version or PDF Version) and submit this with their dissertation copies. The dissertations and forms should be turned into the Technical Services Department, Room 201 in Adams Library.
