Admissions and Financial Aid

Rhode Island College, the state's oldest public institution of higher education, is located ten minutes from downtown Providence. The campus is surrounded by residential communities and a public golf course. Our students often take advantage of the busy social and cultural calendars that characterize the city of Providence and the nearby colleges and universities. The campus has an intimate feel to it, and the typically small class size will allow you to receive close attention from your professors. From Providence, it is easy to visit Newport, Boston, and New York.

The majority of our students are from New England and the mid-Atlantic states. The 2005 freshman class came from 11 states; 13.7 percent were multicultural students.
