For the past several years, on-campus housing has been guaranteed for new freshmen admitted and enrolled by May 1. Students interested in living on campus should apply by March 15.

The financial aid application deadline for freshmen entering in the fall is March 1. Approximately 78 percent of full-time freshmen receive some type of financial aid, with an average annual award of $7,410, including grants, work-study, and loans. Required forms: FAFSA and Rhode Island College Financial Aid Application.
Incoming freshmen who rank in the top 30 percent of their graduating class and who have minimum combined SAT-I scores of 1100 (verbal and mathematics) or higher (24 ACT) are eligible for consideration for merit-based Presidential Scholarships. The scholarship award of $2,000 is renewable for four years provided that the student maintains the required grade point average and full-time status. A complete application for admission, including first-quarter senior grades and SAT-I scores, must be postmarked by December 15 for priority consideration.
