Mission Statement

Since 1854, Rhode Island College has had a tradition of providing excellence in educating qualified Rhode Island and out-of-state students. The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is to promote Rhode Island College, recruit prospective students and deliver the incoming class to the College for academic, professional and social development. We are committed to attracting an academically accomplished and culturally diverse student body that reflects the pluralism of Rhode Island's population and neighboring regions.

The primary goal of the staff is to provide the best possible service to prospective students and those who are involved with their identification, selection and enrollment process. Students who apply for admission to the College can rely upon the professional competency and commitment of a well-trained and informed Undergraduate Admissions staff.

The staff will continue to work collaboratively and cooperatively with our colleagues on and off campus to ensure the success of our mission and to support high standards and excellence in academic achievement. We also uphold and support the values of the national standards for college admission professionals.
