Adult Education Professional Development Center

Mission Statement: The RI Professional Development Center delivers high-quality, research-based professional development and technical assistance to Rhode Island's adult education programs and practitioners.  Through its leadership and partnerships, the RIAEDPC seeks to support, enhance and promote the network of quality educational opportunities for RI's adult learners.

Vision Statement: RI Adult Education Practitioners will have the resources and support that they need to most effectively serve the adult learners in the state.

The PDCenter is a collaborative effort between the following:

• The RI Professional Development Council
• Rhode Island Department of Education
• The Governor's Workforce Board
• Rhode Island Foundation
• United Way of Rhode Island
• Rhode Island College Foundation
• The David E. Sweet Center for Public Policy at RIC
• Lifespan

Funding has come from the Rhode Island Foundation, United Way and the Rhode Island Department of Education (utilizing WIA Title II Leadership funds, and the Governor's Workforce Board's RI Job Development Funds).
