(9-4 Overall; 0-0 in the Little
East Conference)

RI--Head
Coach Jay Grenier’s team is off to the program’s best start
since the 1986 campaign. RIC returned home from its Spring Break trip
to the Homestead (FL) Challenge with a 5-4 record. The Anchormen
proceeded to earn wins over Coast Guard, 4-3, on Mar. 18, Salve
Regina, 7-3, on Mar. 20 and swept a doubleheader from Clark, 6-3,
13-7, on Mar. 22. The Anchormen are currently 9-4 overall and have yet
to see action in the Little East Conference. |

Sophomore
pitcher/outfielder Glenn Dusablon (North Smithfield, RI) has
played in 11 games, starting all of them. He is batting .435 with 20
runs, 20 hits and three RBI. As a pitcher, he has appeared in two
games, starting both of them. He is 1-1 with a 4.20 ERA and 13
strikeouts in 15.0 innings. |

Junior
first baseman Eric Gibree (Bristol, RI) has played in 13 games,
starting all of them. He is batting .365 with 13 runs, 19 hits, two
doubles, one triple, three home runs and 17 RBI. |

pitcher/first baseman Matt Brannon (Cranston, RI) has played in
13 games, starting all of them. He is batting .356 with 11 runs, 16
hits, four doubles, one triple and 12 RBI. As a pitcher, he has
appeared in three games, starting two of them. He is 2-1 with a 3.93
ERA and 12 strikeouts in 18.1 innings. |

outfielder Mike Naylor (Warwick, RI) has played in 13 games,
starting all of them. He is batting .304 with 11 runs, 14 hits, three
doubles, one triple and 12 RBI. |

starting all of them. He is batting .286 with 12 runs, 16 hits, six
doubles, one home run and eight RBI. |

starting three of them. He is 2-1 with a 1.80 ERA and 21 strikeouts in

games, starting 11 of them. He is batting .282 with ten runs, 11 hits,
