Providence, RI—Framingham State College pounded out 13 hits to defeat Rhode Island College, 17-2, in collegiate baseball action. The Rams were the home team, since the game was moved to RIC due to poor conditions at FSC’s field.
Phil McGeowen went 3-5 with six RBI, one run and three doubles. Joe Sousa went 2-4 with two runs, one RBI and one home run. Nick Marzilli went 3-4 with three runs, four RBI and one home run.
Lee Diamantopoulos threw a three-hitter, allowing only two runs in seven innings of work, to earn his second win of the season.
In upcoming action, RIC will host Worcester State College tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
