Rhode Island College Women’s Outdoor Track Update #4

Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team competed at the Bernard Solomon Husky Invitational, hosted by Northeastern on Apr. 19. No team scores were kept at the meet.

Sophomore Jessica Leonard (Warwick, RI) placed 19th in the shot with a distance of 8.33 meters. Leonard placed eighth in the hammer with a distance of 38.51 meters.

Sophomore Kate McCalligett (Warwick, RI) placed 12th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.88.

Sophomore Rebecca Horton (Seekonk, MA) placed 23rd in the 1,500 meters with a time of 5:38.80.

Freshman Kim Cadden (Warwick, RI) placed 18th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:32.66.

Freshman Bridget Hjerpe (Cranston, RI) placed 23rd in the 1,500 meters with a time of 5:22.28.

Freshman Dana Schmidt (North Scituate, RI) placed 24th in the 200 meters with a time of 32.16.

Freshman Dana Skorupa (Cumberland, RI) placed 12th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.06.

Sophomore Courtney Gardiner (Warwick, RI) placed 15th in the triple jump with a distance of 9.14 meters.

In upcoming action, RIC will host the Little East Conference/MASCAC Alliance Championships on Saturday, Apr. 26.
