Ashley Brooks Named Little East Conference
|
|
|
|
Providence, RI—Rhode Island College freshman designated player Ashley Brooks (Hamden, CT) was named the Little East Conference Softball Rookie of the Week. |
|
|
|
Brooks was 6-9 on the week with three runs and two RBI. She went 5-6 with an RBI and two runs scored in the doubleheader split with Plymouth State on Apr. 19. |
|
|
|
For the season, she has played in 19 games, starting 13 of them. She is batting .351 with nine runs, 13 hits and five RBI. |
|
|
|
In upcoming action, RIC will play at Western Connecticut on Apr. 22 and at Westfield State on Apr. 24, before celebrating Senior Day vs. Eastern Connecticut on Apr. 27. |
