ANCHORMEN WIN EIGHTH STRAIGHT IN LEC VICTORY |

Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College won its eighth consecutive game with a 5-1 win over
Little East Conference rival Southern Maine. The win establishes a
new RIC record for consecutive victories in a season. |

Cory Lopes
(Somerset, MA) led the Anchormen with two goals in the win. Jorge
Pemberthy (Providence, RI), Kyle Teixeira (Warren, RI)
and Chris Cunha (East Providence, RI) also added
goals. Jason Nelson (Pascoag, RI) made seven saves in
net. |

RIC improves to 8-2
overall and 1-0 in the Little East. Southern Maine falls to 2-3-1
overall and 0-1 in the LEC. Andy Budelman (Rochester, NH) scored
the lone goal for USM. |
