(15-15-1 Overall; 2-7 in the
Little East Conference)

Providence,
RI--Head
Coach Jay Grenier’s team is currently 15-15-1 overall and 2-7
in the Little East Conference. The Anchormen fell to Salem State, 9-8,
on Apr. 23, 2-1 to regional power Wheaton on Apr. 24, fell to Plymouth
State, 5-4 (five innings), on Apr. 26 and split a doubleheader with
Southern Maine, falling 8-2 and winning 7-1 on Apr. 27. |

Sophomore
pitcher/outfielder Glenn Dusablon (North
Smithfield, RI)
has played in 29 games, starting all of them. He is batting .361 with
40 runs, 44 hits, one double, three triples, four home runs, 23 RBI
and nine stolen bases. As a pitcher, he has appeared in five games,
starting all of them. He is 1-2 with a 5.61 ERA, two complete games
and 24 strikeouts in 33.2 innings. |

first baseman Eric Gibree (Bristol,
RI)
has played in 31 games, starting all of them. He is batting .358 with
34 runs, 44 hits, eight doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 40 RBI,

pitcher/first baseman Matt Brannon (Cranston,
RI)
has played in 31 games, starting all of them. He is batting .368 with
22 runs, 42 hits, six doubles, two triples, one home run and 29 RBI.
As a pitcher, he has appeared in eight games, starting five of them.
He is 4-2 with a 3.00 ERA, two complete games and 27 strikeouts in

outfielder Chris Higgins (Swansea,

has played in three games, starting all of them. He is batting .500
with three runs, four hits, one triple and three RBI. Higgins injured
his ankle during the club’s trip to Florida and is out indefinitely. |

action, RIC will host Becker on Apr. 29, Johnson & Wales on May 1 and
UMass-Boston May 3. |
