CORSAIRS CLINCH PLAYOFF SPOT IN WIN OVER RIC
Providence, RI—Mary Doherty scored five goals to lead UMass-Dartmouth past Rhode Island College, 16-8, in Little East Conference women’s lacrosse action. The win helps UMass-Dartmouth qualify for the LEC conference tournament.
Shannon Curran added three goals and Denise Siegel, Mycena Kallechey, and Megan Corfield each netted two goals for the Corsairs, who improve to 5-8 and 2-3 in conference play.
Erin Grant and Amanda Hutchins each scored three goals for RIC in a losing effort. The loss drops the Anchorwomen to 3-10 and 0-6 in the Little East.
In upcoming action, RIC will host Salem State on Apr. 30 at 4 p.m.
