outfielder Mike Naylor went 3-4 with two runs and two RBI as
Rhode Island College held off a late rally to defeat Johnson & Wales
University, 10-9, in non-conference collegiate baseball action. |

RIC took a 10-6 lead into the ninth
before the Wildcats plated three runs. Freshman Jason DeCesare
came in to record his second save of the season and help RIC starter
Wade Briggs to improve to 2-0. |
|
|
|
For JWU, designated hitter Brett
Bodine went 3-5 with two runs scored, and a three-run home run in
a losing effort. The loss drops JWU to 21-15 on the season, while the
Anchormen improve to 17-15-1. |

action, RIC will host Plymouth State College tomorrow afternoon at 3
p.m. |
