Providence, RI—Rhode Island
College pitcher Matt Brannon upped his record to 5-2, hurling a
five-hit, nine-strikeout, shutout in the Anchormen’s 13-0 win over
Plymouth State College. RIC improves to 18-15-1 overall and 3-7 in the
Little East Conference. The Panthers fall to 14-17 overall and 3-9 in
the LEC. |

Brannon helped his own cause, going
2-5 with two RBI and one run scored at the plate. The Anchormen got
five home runs on the day with Glenn Dusablon (5), Eric
Gibree (9), Brian Peer (2), Even Aten (1) and
Adolfo Perez (2) all going yard in the win. Gibree was the
offensive star, going 4-5 with two RBI, three runs, a homer and a
double. |

took the loss for PSC, falling to 5-4 on the season. |
