RIC Continues Scoreless Conference Streak In Tie
Providence, RI—Rhode College Sophomore Melissa Carpentier (Woonsocket, RI) recorded her sixth shutout as the Anchorwomen tied conference opponent UMass-Dartmouth 0-0.
Corsair freshman goalkeeper Amanda Tavares (Dartmouth, MA) also picked up a shutout, turning away six shots.
Carpentier turned away 11 shots and has yet to surrender a goal in conference play. The tie brings RIC to 6-4-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the Little East while UMD has a 4-4-2 record and 0-2-1 in conference play.
In upcoming action, RIC will host Bridgewater State on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 3:30 p.m.
