RIC Tops Suffolk 3-1

Providence, RI—Sophomore outside hitter Amanda Yanski (Woonsocket, RI) had 14 kills to help lead Rhode Island College to a 3-1, victory over Suffolk in women’s collegiate volleyball action.

Freshman setter Mia Shaffer (Johnston, RI) added 24 assists to pace the Anchorwomen, who improved to 11-14 on the season.

Junior hitter Erin McMenimen (Stoneham, MA) had seven kills in a losing effort for the Rams. Suffolk falls to 11-14 on the season.

In upcoming action, RIC will take part in a Little East Conference Round Robin, hosted by Plymouth State College, on Saturday, Oct. 26.
