Rhode Island College Names Don Denham as an
Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach |

|
Providence, RI— Rhode
Island College has named Don Denham as an Assistant Men’s
Soccer Coach. Denham will assist Head Coach Len Mercurio with
all phases of the RIC men’s soccer program including, recruiting,
scouting, administering practices and game coaching. |
|
|
|
Denham is also the head
coach of the Bruno United Premier Soccer Club, for boys under the
age of 14. He was previously the head coach of the U-16 Northern
Lightning Stingrays Boys Premier Soccer Club from 2001-03. He has
also coached at the youth level with stops at Western and Bain
Middle Schools in Cranston. |

Denham was widely
considered one of the toughest backs in the Little East Conference
during his three-year career at Rhode Island College from 1996-98,
totaling one goal and two assists for four points. He earned First
Team All-Little East Conference honors as a sophomore in 1996 before
a knee injury hampered his career. Prior to coming to RIC, Denham
starred for New England College in 1994. |

A native of Cranston, he
is a 2002 graduate of Rhode Island College, earning a bachelor’s
degree in history education. Denham (27) is currently a social
studies teacher at Cranston High School West. He is currently
engaged and resides in Warren, Rhode Island. |

The Anchormen open the
2003 season at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Fall
Classic on Sept. 6 and 7. |
