Lopes Nets Three Goals As RIC Falls To Plymouth State 5-3
Providence, RI—Plymouth State College forward Troy Silva scored a goal and added two assists as the Panthers defeated Rhode Island College, 5-3, in Little East Conference collegiate soccer action.
Sal Friello, Michael Cantelli, Jake Morley and Sebastian Rodriguez also scored goals for Plymouth State. The Panthers improve to 7-5-1 overall and 4-2-0 in the LEC.
Freshman forward Cory Lopes scored three goals in a losing effort for the Anchormen. The loss drops RIC to 10-6 and 2-3 in the Little East on the season. It was third straight conference loss for the Anchormen.
In upcoming action, RIC will play at UMass-Dartmouth on Monday, Oct. 28 at 2:30 p.m.
