Providence, RI—Rhode Island College defeated Western New England College 3-1 in collegiate women’s volleyball action. RIC took games one, two and four, while the Golden Bears salvaged a victory in game three. |

RIC’s Amanda Yanski and Stacy Archambault combined for 27 kills with 14 and 13 respectively. Stephanie Callaghan, RIC’s lone senior who was competing in her final regular season home match, had five kills and 20 digs. Mia Shaffer led the team with 26 assists. |

|
WNEC’s Brenda Post had 15 kills in a losing effort for the Golden Bears. |
||||||
|
In upcoming action, RIC will play at Keene State on Wednesday, Nov. 6 in opening round action of the 2002 Little East Conference Tournament. |
