Warriors Sneak Past Anchorwomen 1-0
Willimantic, CT—Eastern Connecticut State University improved to 14-2 overall and 6-1 in the Little East Conference with a 1-0 victory over Rhode Island College in collegiate women’s soccer action. The loss drops RIC to 6-9-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the LEC.
Meghann Booth scored the game-winning goal in the 76th minute to lift ECSU past the Anchorwomen. The Warriors played tough defense, allowing RIC only two shots on the day.
In upcoming action, both teams will take part in the Little East Conference Tournament beginning next week.
