Alemdar Scores 1,000th Point As RIC Tops Hawks |

Providence, RI—Junior forward Kamran Alemdar scored his 1,000 career point as Rhode Island College downed Roger Williams University, 74-62, in collegiate basketball action. |
||||||
|
Alemdar, who transferred into RIC this fall from RWU after two seasons, scored his 1,000th point at 18:19 of the first half. Alemdar amassed 755 of his points for the Hawks before transferring to RIC. |

|
Junior forward Johnafer White scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Freshman Brian Stanko scored 13 points in his first career start for the Anchormen. |

|
Chris Staab scored a game-high 17 points in the losing effort for the Hawks, who fall to 2-16 on the season. The win helps RIC improve to 12-8 on the year. |

In upcoming action, RIC will host Keene State College on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. |
