Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College defeated Johnson and Wales University, 3-0, in
collegiate softball action. Kim Warrington scattered six hits
and struck out nine in a complete game shutout victory for RIC. |

The Anchorwomen jumped out to a 2-0
lead in the third, highlighted by Michele Fanelli’s RBI
single. Sue Gaber singled and then scored on Casey
Soares’ sacrifice fly in the fifth to cap off the game’s
scoring. |

|
Kim Cyr
took the loss for the Wildcats. The second game of a scheduled
doubleheader was called due to darkness. |
