Junior forward Lauren
Tomasso (Cranston, RI) netted the game-winner, while freshman
forward Erika Haaland (North Dartmouth, MA) and freshman
midfielder Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth, RI) added tallies of
their own in the win over the Panthers. Junior goalkeeper Melissa

The win was sweet revenge for
the Anchorwomen, who lost a tough game, 1-0, to PSU in the regular
season finale on last Saturday, Nov. 1. The playoff win only the
second in the program’s nine-year history. The Anchorwomen won their
first-ever post-season victory by beating, ironically Plymouth State,
in double overtime during the 2002 tourney. |
