Providence, RI--Head
Coach Maria Morin’s team is 6-8 overall and 1-1 in Little East
Conference action. The squad’s first games back from their trip out
west took place at Roger Williams where the Anchorwomen split a
doubleheader, taking the first game, 10-5, and dropping the second
contest, 2-0, on Thursday, Mar. 25. RIC returned home on Saturday,
Mar. 27 for its LEC opening doubleheader versus 17th-ranked
Keene State. The Anchorwomen won game one, 2-1 in eight innings,
before falling, 1-0, in the second game. |

Senior
outfielder Sue Gaber (Colchester,
CT)
has played
in 14 games, starting all of them. She is batting a team-best .367
while also leading the squad with 18 hits, nine runs scored and a .385
on-base percentage. Gaber also has one double, two walks, four RBI, a
.388 slugging percentage and an .889 fielding percentage. |

pitcher/designated player Kim Warrington (North
Kingstown, RI)
has played
in ten games, starting seven of them. She is batting .261 with six
hits, two walks and two runs scored. Warrington owns a .391 slugging
percentage, a .320 on-base percentage and a .941 fielding percentage.
On the mound, Warrington has appeared in 11 games, starting seven
games. She owns a 3-4 record with a 3.83 ERA. In 51.2 innings pitched,
she has struck out a team-high 68 batters. |

p.m., before heading back on the road to face LEC foe Southern Maine
on Saturday, Apr. 3 at 1 p.m. All three contests will be
doubleheaders. |
