Providence, RI--Head
Coach Jay Grenier's team is 7-6 overall and 0-2 in the Little
East Conference. In their only action last week, the Anchormen were
swept at Southern Maine on Saturday, April 3, 1-0 and 6-0, in a
doubleheader versus the Huskies. |

|
|
Senior
first baseman Eric Gibree (Bristol,
RI)
has played in ten games, starting nine of them. He is batting a
team-best .520 with 13 hits, one double, one home run, four walks,
three runs scored and seven RBI. Gibree owns a .680 slugging
percentage, a .581 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
He went 3-6 this weekend versus Southern Maine and is now just one hit
shy of the RIC all-time career mark. |

outfielder/pitcher Brandon White (Foster, RI) has played in
five games, starting three of them. He is batting .500 with seven
hits, one double, two walks, three runs scored and four RBI. White

four games, starting three of them. He owns a 1-1 record with a 6.19

action, the Anchormen are scheduled to play six games this week. RIC
will first have a three-game home stand versus Bridgewater State on
Monday, April 5 at 3 p.m., then Becker College on Tuesday, April 6 at
3:30 p.m., and finally Coast Guard on Wednesday, April 7 at 3 p.m. The
Anchormen will then travel to face LEC foe UMass-Dartmouth on
Thursday, April 8 at 3:30 and Keene State on Saturday, April 10 for an
LEC doubleheader starting at noon. This week begins a stretch of nine
scheduled games in the next ten days for the Anchormen. |
