Women’s Lacrosse Update #3

(7-8 Overall; 0-6 in the Little East) |

Providence, RI--Head
Coach Ryan Angel’s team concluded its season with a 7-8 overall
record and a 0-6 mark in Little East Conference action. Last week, RIC
was victorious in two home games, defeating Roger Williams, 12-3, on
Apr. 19 and Emerson College, 16-4, on Apr. 22. The Anchorwomen fell on
the road to both Eastern Connecticut, 13-5, on Apr. 21 and Western
Connecticut, 16-10, on Apr. 24. |

Freshman center Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth,
RI)
played 15 games, starting all of them. She had a team-high 53 points
on a team-best 43 goals and ten assists. Gavin also compiled a
team-high 98 shots, 76 on goal, 82 ground balls and 74 draw controls.
For her performance last week, Gavin was named the Little East
Conference's Rookie of the Week. |

Sophomore defender Crystal Colagiovanni (Johnston,
RI)
played 15 games, starting all of them. She had 34 points on 32 goals
and two assists. Colagiovanni compiled 75 shots, 63 on goal, 59 ground
balls and 12 draw controls. |

|
|
Junior attacker Rachael Pecoraro (Smithfield,
RI)
played 15 games, starting 14 of them. She had 16 goals and five
assists for 21 points. Pecoraro compiled 44 shots, 38 on goal, 30
ground balls and seven draw controls. |

|
|
Junior defender Erin Grant (Coventry,
RI)
played seven games, starting five of them. She had three points on
three goals. Grant compiled 13 shots, nine on goal, 13 ground balls
and one draw control. |

|
Senior attacker Kim Wells (Granby,
CT)
played 15 games, starting all of them. She had four points on three
goals and one assist. Wells compiled 11 shots, six on goal, 19 ground
balls and three draw controls. |
|
|
|
Freshman defender Brittany Rosen (Derry,
NH)
played 14 games, starting 13 of them. She had five goals and three
assists for eight points. Rosen has compiled 19 shots, 15 on goal, 63
ground balls and 26 draw controls. |

|
Junior defender Erika Babat (North
Kingstown, RI)
played 15 games, starting all of them. She compiled one shot on goal,
60 ground balls and 11 draw controls. |
|
|
|
Junior attacker Danielle Beaudry (West
Greenwich, RI)
played 15 games, starting 14 of them. She had 38 points on 23 goals
and a team-high 15 assists. Beaudry compiled 46 shots, 40 on goal, 50
ground balls and 11 draw controls. |

|
Sophomore defender Ashley Cardin (Cumberland,
RI)
played 12 games, starting ten of them. She had four goals for four
points. Cardin compiled nine shots, eight on goal, 46 ground balls and
seven draw controls. |

|
Sophomore attacker Jessica Maher (Warwick, RI) played 11 games,
starting five of them. She had two goals and two assists for four
points. Maher compiled four shots, all on goal, 17 ground balls and
three draw controls. |

|
|
Junior attacker Victoria Bilalyan (Cranston, RI) played 14
games, starting seven of them. She had six points on five goals and
one assist. Bilalyan compiled 11 shots, nine on goal, 10 ground balls
and three draw controls. |

|
Sophomore attacker Danielle Egan (North Falmouth, MA) played
ten games, starting nine of them. She had five goals for five points.
Egan compiled 23 shots, 17 on goal, 18 ground balls and 14 draw
controls. |

|
|
Freshman attacker Shana Griffin (Barre, VT) played 15 games,
starting four of them. She had seven points on five goals and two
assists. Griffin compiled 19 shots, 14 on goal, 18 ground balls and
three draw controls. |

|
|
Freshman goalkeeper Micaela Morris (Barrington, RI) played 15
games, starting all of them. She had compiled a record of 7-8, a 9.70
goals against average, a .502 save percentage and 36 ground balls. |
|
|
|
Senior defender Cara Collins (Johnston, RI) played ten games,
starting three of them. She has collected one ground ball. |
|
|
|
Freshman attacker Kerri Higgins (Harrisville, RI) played 11
games, starting two of them. She had one point on one goal. Higgins
had one shot on goal and five ground balls. |
|
|
|
Sophomore defender Megahn McKervey (Mansfield, MA) played 15
games, starting 14 of them. She had one point on one assist. McKervey
compiled one shot on goal, 33 ground balls and one draw control. |
