Providence, RI--Head
Coach Jay Grenier's team is 17-14 overall and 4-8 in the Little
East Conference. In the four-game home stand last week, the Anchormen
came away with a perfect 4-0 record. RIC has now won its last six
contests. The Anchormen opened the week with single-game victories
over Clark University, 22-9, on Apr. 29 and Bridgewater State, 12-9,
on Apr. 30. RIC then swept a doubleheader from LEC foe Plymouth State,
crushing the Panthers by scores of 27-18 and 32-9. |

Sophomore
shortstop Ray De La Cruz (Pawtucket,
RI)
has played
in 29 games, starting all of them. He is batting .394 with 50 hits,
eight doubles, three triples, five home runs, seven walks, 35 runs
scored and 25 RBI. De La Cruz owns a .622 slugging percentage, a .429
on-base percentage and a .870 fielding percentage. De La Cruz belted
three home runs in the two-game sweep of Plymouth State. |

outfielder Chris Higgins (Swansea,
MA)
has played
in 31 games, starting all of them. He is batting .396 while leading
the team with 53 hits, 13 doubles, five triples, six home runs, 41
RBI, 44 runs scored and a .701 slugging percentage. Higgins also has
12 walks, a .440 on-base percentage and a .931 fielding percentage. |

outfielder/pitcher Brandon White (Foster, RI) has played in 16
games, starting 14 of them. He is batting a team-best .438 with 21
hits, three doubles, 13 walks, three home runs, 17 runs scored and 14

percentage and a .985 fielding percentage. On the mound, White has
appeared in eight games, starting five of them. He owns a 1-3 record
with a 7.39 ERA. In 28.0 innings pitched, he has struck out 31

and a .929 fielding percentage. Trupiano hit two home runs in the game
one victory over Plymouth State. The round trippers were the first of
