Three Earn
All-Little East Honors
for RIC Baseball |

Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College senior first baseman Eric Gibree (Bristol,
RI)
and
sophomore shortstop Ray De La Cruz (Pawtucket,
RI)
earned
First Team All-Little East Conference honors. Sophomore outfielder
Mike Naylor (Warwick,
RI)
earned Second Team All-Little East Conference honors. |

Gibree, who
was named First Team All-LEC for the second consecutive season,
played in 32 games, starting 30 of them this spring. Gibree batted
.379 with 44 hits, 13 doubles, four home runs, six walks, 25 runs
scored and 26 RBI. Gibree owned a .595 slugging percentage, a .425
on-base percentage and .970 fielding percentage. Gibree now owns Rhode
Island College all-time records for career at-bats, hits, runs scored,
doubles, sacrifice flies, total bases and is tied at the top in RBI.

|
De La Cruz
played in 33 games, starting all of them this season. He batted .379
with 55 hits, eight doubles, three triples, five home runs, eight
walks, 38 runs scored and 27 RBI. De La Cruz owned a .579 slugging
percentage, a .419 on-base percentage and a .852 fielding percentage. |

|
Naylor
played in 35 games, starting all of them this season. He batted .397
with 56 hits, 14 doubles, five triples, four home runs, three walks,
34 runs scored and 29 RBI. Naylor owns a .652 slugging percentage, a
.422 on-base percentage and a .929 fielding percentage. Naylor is
currently on a team-best 21-game hit streak. |

The
Anchormen concluded their season with a 19-16 overall mark and
finished fifth in the Little East with a 6-8 record. |
