2004 Spring
Men’s Golf Season Summary |

Providence, RI--Head
Coach John Fitta’s team finished the 2004 spring campaign with
a 2-2 overall record. The Anchormen had the medalist in each of the
squad's three matches. |
|
|
|
Senior Ken Ferrara (North
Providence, RI)
closed out his final season shooting an average score of 83.3, the
team's lowest mark. Ferrara was the medalist in the Apr. 20 match vs.
Wesleyan, shooting the low score of 80. |
|
|
|
As a junior in 2003, Ferrara
was named the team’s MVP. He closed out the season averaging a
team-low score of 85.0 in the club’s three matches. He tied a
career-low mark by shooting a 79 vs. Roger Williams. During the fall
2002 season, Ferrara averaged a team-low score of 84.8 in the club’s
four matches. He shot a fall season-low mark of 80 in the opening
match vs. Johnson & Wales and Newbury. |

As a sophomore in 2002, he led
the team with an average score of 85.8 in the team’s six meets. He
shot a career-low score of 79 in the team’s first meet of the season
against Nichols College. Ferrara was the medalist in two of the team's
matches. During the fall 2001 season, he averaged a score of 85.0 in
two meets. |

As a freshman in 2001, Ferrara
averaged a score of 85.67 for the season. |
|
|
|
He is a business management
major and a 2000 graduate of
North Providence
High School. |
|
|
|
Junior Mark Lebrun (Woonsocket,
RI) averaged a
score of 89.3 for the season. He was the team's medalist, shooting an
80, vs. Becker on Apr. 2. Lebrun is a 47-year old junior who returned
to school this year. |

|
|
Freshman Tim Carpentier (Smithfield,
RI) averaged a
score of 99.0 for the season. He shot a season-low score of 87 vs.
Wesleyan on Apr. 20. |
|
|
|
Freshman Thomas Pora (Cumberland,
RI) was a reserve
on the team. |
|
|
|
Freshman Shawn Rebocho (Albion,
RI) averaged a
score of 85.0 for the season. He was the medalist, shooting an 83, in
the tri-meet vs. Nichols and Brandeis on Apr. 19. |
