Providence, RI--Head
Coach Joe Testa’s team is 0-2 overall and 1-0 in the Little
East Conference. The Anchormen played five matches last week, going
2-3. RIC lost to Nichols on the road, 8-1, on Monday, Apr. 4, before
defeating Salem State in its home LEC opener, 7-2, on Tuesday, Apr. 5.
The Anchormen lost to Curry at home, 7-2, on Thursday, Apr. 7, but
bounced right back with a home, 9-0, shutout over Thomas on Saturday,
Apr. 9. RIC closed out its week at home on Sunday, Apr. 10, and lost
to Roger Williams, 7-2. |

Senior
co-captain Julio Andrade (Cranston, RI) is 5-2 (.714) at number
three singles and 2-5 (.286) at number one doubles for a team-high 6.0
points on the season. He went 5-0 in singles action last week. |

Junior Barry Manfredi (Westerly, RI) is 4-3 (.571) at number
one singles and 2-5 (.286) at number one doubles for 5.0 points on the

foe Southern Maine on Sat. Apr. 16 at noon. |
