Dana Skorupa Named Little East Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
|

Providence,
RI—Rhode
Island College junior Dana Skorupa (Cumberland,
RI)
was named the Little East Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the
Week for her performance at the Albany Invitational on Saturday,
Apr. 16. |
|
|
|
She placed
sixth in both the 100 and 200 meters with times of 12.98 and
26.51, respectively. She was the highest Div. III performer in
those events. In other action this spring, she placed first in
both the 100 and 200 meters with times of 12.72 and 26.39,
respectively, and fourth in the long jump with a leap of 15’09.00”
at the Bryant Invitational on Apr. 9. Skorupa placed third in the
100 meters and seventh in the long jump with results of 13.12 and
15’07.00”, respectively, at the Snowflake Classic on Mar. 26. |

She is an
elementary education major with a concentration in special
education and a 2002 graduate of Cumberland High School. |

Head Coach
Kevin Jackson’s team competed at the Albany Invitational on
Saturday, Apr. 16. RIC placed sixth (nine teams) with a score of
17.0.
Albany
won the meet with a score of 245. |

In upcoming
action, RIC will compete at the Northeastern Invitational on
Saturday, Apr. 23. |
