Rhode Island College Spring Men’s Golf Update #2

Providence, RI—Head
Coach John Fitta’s team closed out the 2005 spring season with
a 353-388 win over Wesleyan University at Triggs Memorial Golf Course
on Monday, May 2. RIC finishes the spring with a 3-2 record, its first
winning season in the program’s six-year history. |

Sophomore Shawn Rebocho (Albion, RI) averaged a score of 84.0
in three matches. He was the medallist, firing a season-low score of
77 vs. Wesleyan/Nichols on Apr. 18. |

|
|
Sophomore Tim Carpentier (Smithfield, RI) averaged a score of
85.0 in three matches. He fired a season-low score of 84, sharing
medallist honors, vs. Johnson &Wales/Wentworth on Apr. 20. |

|
Sophomore Sean DeSilva (Warwick, RI) averaged a score of 88.0
in three matches. He fired a season-low score of 86 vs. Johnson
&Wales/Wentworth on Apr. 20. |

Freshman Derrick Garforth (Tiverton, RI) averaged a score of
97.0 in three matches. He shot a season-low score of 89 vs.
Wesleyan/Nichols on Apr. 18. |

Senior Mark Lebrun (Woonsocket, RI) averaged a score of 91.0 in
three matches. He shot a season-low score of 88 vs. Wesleyan on May 2. |
