Rhode Island College Women’s Gymnastics Update #2

(1-4 Overall; 1-4 in the ECAC)

Providence, RI--Head Coach Bob Nannig’s team competed at a tri-meet hosted by Wilson College on Saturday, Jan. 22. The Anchorwomen fell to host Wilson, 165.325-168.725, and to SUNY Brockport, 165.325-175.175.

Senior co-captain Caren Normandin (Fall River, MA) is averaging scores of 9.175 on vault, 7.600 on bars, 9.000 on beam, 8.988 on floor and 34.800 in the all-around. She posted team-high scores of 9.175 on vault, 8.850 on beam and 8.850 on floor at the Wilson tri-meet.

Senior co-captain Michaela Hogan (Warwick, RI) is averaging scores of 8.950 on vault, 8.150 on bars and 8.225 on floor. She posted a team-high score of 8.150 on bars at the Wilson tri-meet.

Sophomore Melissa Jones (Cranston, RI) is averaging scores of 8.913 on vault and 8.400 on floor.

Sophomore Megan Joseph (Hope, RI) is averaging scores of 8.975 on vault, 7.875 on beam and 8.938 on floor.

Junior Cristy Pforr (Pembroke, MA) is averaging scores of 8.475 on vault, 8.475 on beam and 8.688 on floor.

Freshman Melissa Demirjian (Warwick, RI) is averaging scores of 7.050 on bars, 8.150 on beam and 8.638 on floor.

Sophomore Kristina Lemanis (Smithtown, NY) is averaging a score of 7.800 on bars.

Sophomore Hannah Scott (Deep River, CT) is averaging scores of 7.475 on bars and 8.175 on beam.

Sophomore Danielle Soucy (Gloucester, MA) is averaging scores of 8.725 on vault and 7.200 on bars.

Freshman Caitlyn Owens (Carmel, NY) is averaging scores of 7.475 on bars and 8.175 on beam.

In upcoming action, RIC will compete at SUNY Brockport on Saturday, Jan. 29.
