Providence, RI--Head
Coach Jack Perri’s team finished the 2004-05 season with a
20-9 overall record and a 10-4 (first place tie) mark in the
Little East Conference. RIC’s season was ended with a 78-66 loss
at Wheaton College in the championship game of the 2005 ECAC Div.
III New England Men’s Basketball Tournament. |

The Anchormen’s regular season co-championship marks the first
time in the program’s history that RIC has finished atop the
Little East standings. The Anchormen’s 20 wins are the most in a
season since the 1988-89 club also won 20. This season also marked
RIC’s first ECAC Tournament appearance since 1996-97 and the
Anchormen made it to the championship game for the first time
since the 1982-83 team won the tourney. |

Senior guard Andre Daley (Boston,
MA)
closed out his collegiate career having played two seasons at RIC.
He played in 55 career games, starting 52 of them, with 715
points, 210 rebounds, 115 assists and 89 steals. He averaged 13.2
points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game for his
career. His .773 career free throw percentage ranks him ninth
all-time at RIC. |

As a senior in 2004-05, he was named Second Team All-Little East
Conference. He played in 26 games, starting all of them. He
averaged 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Daley
registered season-highs of 34 points and five assists vs. Ursinus
on Nov. 20, eight rebounds vs. Eastern Nazarene on Nov. 23, six
steals vs. Plymouth State on Jan. 22 and two blocks vs. MIT on
Jan. 13. Daley was named to the Little East Conference Men’s
Basketball Weekly Honor Roll four times this season. |

Daley redshirted the 2003-04 season. |
|
|
|
As a junior in 2002-03, Daley played in 25 games, starting 22 of
them. He averaged 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.6
steals per game. He registered season-highs of 21 points vs.
Eastern Connecticut, eight rebounds vs. St. Joseph’s (NY), ten
assists vs. Keene State and six steals vs. Newbury. |

Prior to transferring into RIC, Daley starred for two seasons at
Roxbury Community College in 2000-01 and 2001-02. |
|
|
|
He is a philosophy major with a minor in sociology and a 1998
graduate of Madison Park High School. |

|
|
Senior forward Jason Harris (Boston,
MA)
closed out his career having played in 96 games, starting 75 of
them. He totaled 877 career points, 667 rebounds, 105 steals and
92 assists. He averaged 9.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.1 steals and
1.0 assists per game for his career. |

As a senior in 2004-05, Harris played 29 games, starting 28 of
them. He averaged 8.6 points, a team-high 7.5 rebounds and 1.0
assists per game. Harris registered season-highs of 18 points and
three blocks vs. Plymouth State on Feb. 25, 16 rebounds, a
career-high, vs. Roger Williams on Dec. 2, three assists twice and
four steals vs. Plymouth State on Dec. 4. He was named to the
Little East Conference Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll once
this season. |

As a junior in 2003-04, Harris played in 16 games, starting three
of them. He averaged 8.9 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds per
game. Harris registered season-highs of 21 points vs. Southern
Maine, 12 rebounds vs. Plymouth State, three assists vs. Western
Connecticut and three steals vs. UMass-Dartmouth. |

As a sophomore in 2002-03, Harris played in 26 games, starting 24
of them. He averaged 9.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. He
posted season-highs of 16 points vs. Becker, 13 rebounds vs.
Eastern Connecticut, and four steals vs. Keene State. |

|
|
As a freshman in 2001-02, Harris played in 25 games, starting 20
of them. He averaged a team-high 9.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 0.8
steals per game. He posted a career-high 22 points vs. Bridgewater
State and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds vs. Western
Connecticut. |

He is a justice studies major and a 2001 graduate of Bedford High
School. |

|
Sophomore guard Kamari Williams (Springfield,
MA)
was named First-Team All Little East Conference. Williams played
in 29 games, starting all of them. He averaged a team-high 15.9
points, 3.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game, along with 3.9
rebounds per game. Williams registered season-highs of 32 points
and 14 assists vs. Ursinus on Nov. 20, eight rebounds vs. UMass
Dartmouth on Feb. 8 and five steals vs. Roger Williams on Dec. 2.
Williams was named to the Little East Conference Men’s Basketball
Weekly Honor Roll three times and was selected Player of the Week
once this season. He recorded a .869 free throw percentage this
winter, the third-best mark for a single season in RIC men’s hoop
history. His .820 career free throw percentage ranks him second
all-time with two seasons left to play. |

Junior forward Brendan Mullen (Fairhaven,
MA)
played in 14 games. He averaged 0.7 points and 1.4 rebounds per
game. Mullen registered season-highs of four points, five rebounds
and two assists vs. Mitchell on Jan. 31. |
|
|
|
Junior guard Kevin Payette (Woonsocket,
RI)
played in 29 games, starting nine of them. He averaged 9.1
points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. Payette registered
career-highs of 18 points three times, 14 rebounds and six assists
vs. Lasell on Mar. 2. Payette averaged 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds
and 2.0 assists as a starter over RIC’s last nine contests. He hit
the game-winning lay-up with seven seconds left in the game to
lead RIC past top-seeded Colby-Sawyer in the semi-finals of the
ECAC Tournament. |

Sophomore guard Kinsey Durgin (Greenwood,
ME)
played in 29 games, starting all of them. He averaged 10.9 points,
4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He registered
season-highs of 24 points vs. Fitchburg State on Nov. 29, eight
rebounds twice, four assists twice and four steals five times. |

Sophomore forward Anthony Pierlioni (Plainville,
CT)
played in 23 games. He averaged 2.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per
game. He registered season-highs of nine points and nine rebounds
vs. Trinity on Nov. 21, one assist twice and one block four times. |

|
|
Junior
forward Jared Starnino (Providence,
RI)
played in 27 games, starting one of them. He averaged 2.7 points
and 2.6 rebounds per game. He registered season-highs of ten
points vs. Plymouth State on Dec. 4, and seven rebounds vs. Keene
State on Jan. 15, three assists vs. Fitchburg State on Nov. 29 and
two steals twice. |

Sophomore guard Amde Tegbaru (Stockholm,
Sweden)
played in 21 games. He averaged 1.8 points per game and 0.8
rebounds per game. He registered season-highs of 12 points and six
rebounds vs. Lasell on Mar. 2, three assists vs. Wheaton on Mar. 5
and two steals vs. Mitchell on Jan. 31. |

Sophomore forward John Weir (Danbury,
CT)
played in 29 games, starting 20 of them. He averaged 5.7 points,
4.0 rebounds and a team-high 1.1 blocks per game. He registered
season-highs of 18 points vs. Plymouth State on Jan. 22, ten
rebounds twice and five blocks vs. Southern Maine on Jan. 11. |

Freshman guard Ondinis Almanzar (New
York, NY)
played in nine games. He averaged 2.2 points and 0.6 rebounds per
game. He registered season-highs of 12 points vs. Mitchell College
on Jan. 31 and two rebounds vs. Johnson & Wales on Dec. 7. |

|
|
Freshman guard Justin Lopez (Providence,
RI)
played in eight games. He averaged 0.5 points per game. He
registered a season-high of four points vs. Mitchell College on
Jan. 31. |

|
|
Freshman guard Benjy Nichols (New
Haven, CT)
played in 27 games. He averaged 2.1 points and 1.3 rebounds per
game. He registered season-highs of nine points vs. UMass
Dartmouth on Jan. 18 and six rebounds vs. Trinity on Nov. 21. |

|
|
Freshman guard Davon Yarbrough (New
Haven, CT)
played in 29 games. He averaged 8.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per
game. Yarbrough registered season-highs of 20 points twice, nine
rebounds vs. UMass Boston on Jan. 8, four assists twice and four
steals vs. Fitchburg State Nov. 29. He was named the Little East
Conference Rookie of the Week twice this season. |
