DANBURY, CT - In a driving rain storm, the Western Connecticut State
University and Rhode Island College men's soccer teams battled to a
0-0 double-overtime tie at Westside Athletic Complex Saturday
afternoon. |

|
The Colonials are now 9-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the Little East
Conference. The Anchormen sit at 6-4-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the
league. |

|
Daniel Michalowski (Bristol,
CT)
turned away two shots on the afternoon for WestConn. Sean Gonsalves
(Somerset,
MA)
made six stops for Rhode Island College. |

|
The much-awaited match up between the Little East
Conference's leading scorers, WestConn's Bradley Fidler (West Lawn,
PA) and RIC's Kyle Teixeira (Warren, RI), each with 13
goals on the season, never materialized as the rain and both defense
kept the pair at bay. |

WestConn hosts Albertus Magnus this Wednesday, October
12. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. |
