Sophomore forward
Julie Sullivan (Whitman,
MA) opened the scoring for the
Bears in the 36th minute as she knocked home a cross from
freshman midfielder Megan Williamson (Ludlow,
MA). That would be all the
scoring in the opening half as the Bears led 1-0 going into the break. |

Bridgewater put
the game away early in the second half with two quick goals. Senior
forward Heather Fredette (Westminster, MA) gave BSC a two-goal
lead in the 49th minute as she found the top-left corner of
the net with a well-placed shot from 20 yards out. Less than four
minutes later, senior midfielder Christine Spellman (Plymouth,
MA) made it a 3-0 game as she intercepted a clear on the right side
and ripped a shot into the top-left corner. |

RIC
cut the lead to 3-1 at the 68:45 mark with a goal from sophomore
midfielder Krista MacKinnon (Exeter, RI). For MacKinnon it was
her sixth goal of the season which ties her for the team lead. BSC
thwarted any chance of a comeback however as less than three minutes
later junior midfielder Stephanie Johnson (Leicester, MA)
scored her second goal in as many games off a nice assist from
Williamson. |
