Nicole Riley Named Little East Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College junior pitcher Nicole Riley (North Providence, RI) was named the Little East Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Riley has appeared in eight games, starting seven of them, on the season. She is 5-2 with a 2.12 ERA, 38 strikeouts and two shutouts in 46.1 innings pitched. As a hitter, she is batting .357 (5-for-14) with two runs scored, one RBI and one double.

Head Coach Maria Morin’s team is 7-5 on the season. In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will play at Wheaton on Tuesday, Mar. 28 and open Little East Conference play at Southern Maine on Saturday, Apr. 1.
