Salve Regina University (5-6) women's lacrosse held the nation's
leading goal scorer to one goal under her per game average as the
Seahawks defeated visiting Rhode Island College (2-6), 12-8, in
non-league action in Newport. |

R.I.], who leads NCAA
Division III players in the country with 7.25 goals per game, scored
six of her team's eight goals.Melissa Reggio [SO/Commack, N.Y.]
and Crystal Colagiovanni [SR/Johnston, R.I.] each scored to
give the Anchorwomen a 2-0 lead. |

Whitney Bushee [SO/Duxbury,
Mass.] arrived late in
the first half to give Salve Regina its first lead with the first of
her three goals. Nicole Fecteau [FR/Wilbraham,
Mass.],
who also scored three goals for the Seahawks, gave Salve Regina the
lead for good when she tallied with 2:24 remaining in the first. |
