Caitlin Gavin Named First Team
All-Little East Conference
in Women’s Lacrosse

 

Providence, RI— Rhode Island College junior center Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth, RI) was named First Team All-Little East Conference for the third consecutive season.  

 

Gavin played in 16 games, starting all of them. She had 97 goals and ten assists for 107 points. Gavin also totaled 101 ground balls and 65 draw controls. She scored the game-winning goal in each of RIC’s three wins this season. Her marks in goals, points and ground balls are new school records for a single season. She is currently second in the nation (Div. III) in goals-per-game average (6.06) and third in points-per-game average (6.689). Gavin is RIC’s all-time leader in career goals, points, draw controls and ground balls. She was recently named the team’s MVP for the third consecutive season.

 

Head Coach Ryan Angel’s team finished the 2006 season with a 3-13 overall record and an 0-6 (Seventh Place) mark in the Little East Conference.
