Kaseem Johnson Named Little East Conference
Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College freshman forward Kaseem Johnson (New Haven, CT) was named the Little East Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

Johnson posted his third career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Anchormen’s, 80-75, win over Little East rival Plymouth State on Saturday, December 10. For the season, Johnson has played in nine games, starting two of them. He is averaging 9.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

He is a 2004 graduate of Hillhouse High School.

Head Coach Bob Walsh’s team is 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the Little East Conference. The Anchormen are off for finals and the holidays. RIC resumes the season at Bridgewater State on Thursday, Jan. 5.
