Coach Spencer Manning’s team is 6-5 overall and 0-3 in the
Little East Conference. RIC is currently in last place in the Little

Anchorwomen Notables |
|
• RIC played its first game in 26 days on Thursday, Jan. 5 at home
against Wesleyan, falling, 60-50, to the Cardinals. Sophomore forward
Colleen Feeney (Providence,
RI)
posted her third double-double of the season with 15 points and a
career-high 15 rebounds. Sophomore forward Josalee Danieli (New
Gloucester, ME)
had ten points, two boards and two assists off the bench. |

• The Anchorwomen came up just short against Little East Conference
rival Eastern Connecticut at home on Saturday, Jan. 7. The Warriors
led for almost the entire game until the Anchorwomen battled to tie
the contest, 60-60, with 1:30 remaining in the second half. Eastern
Connecticut drained a three-point basket with 1:17 left to put ECSU up
for good. Feeeney posted her fourth double-double of the season with a
19-point, ten-rebound effort. Junior forward Kari Geisler (Deerfield,
NH)
had 14 points and ten rebounds, her fifth double-double of the ’05-06
campaign. |

• Feeney was named to the Little East Conference Women’s Basketball
Honor roll after averaging
17.0 points,
12.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in an 0-2 week |
|
• Geisler currently has 592 career rebounds, which ties her with RIC
Athletic Hall of Famer Claudia DeFaria ’96 for fourth all-time
in Anchorwomen Basketball history. She needs 12 points for 700 in her
career. |

• Senior guard Kristy Nix (East
Setauket, NY)
played in just her fourth game of the season against Eastern
Connecticut after battling back from an ankle injury. She had seven
points, two boards, four assists and two steals in a season-high 28
minutes. |
