Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College played its most consistent game of the season on both
ends of the floor in a 75-67 win over Little East Conference rival
Keene State on Saturday afternoon. RIC had lost its previous three
conference tilts prior to today’s win. The Anchormen are now 9-7
overall and 3-4 in the LEC, while Keene State falls to 11-5 overall
and 5-2 in conference play. |

RIC, which led by as many as
19 points during the game, held the lead the entire contest. Senior
guard Kevin Payette (Woonsocket, RI) posted his second
double-double of the season with 16 points and ten rebounds, to go
along with two assists and two steals. Junior guard Kinsey Durgin
(Greenwood, ME) led all scorers with 19 points, to go along with
six boards and four assists. Junior guard Kamari Williams
(Springfield, MA) had 14 points, including four three-pointers,
and freshman forward Kaseem Johnson (New Haven, CT) grabbed a
game-high 12 rebounds. |

Senior forward Sean
Sullivan (Athol, MA) had 15 points and five rebounds to lead KSC.
Sophomore guard David Sontag (Mount Vernon, NH) chipped in with
14 points. |

In upcoming action, RIC will
host UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Keene State will
host Plymouth State on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m. |
