CAREER POINT IN RIC WIN
Anchormen Win Seventh Straight in 75-68 Victory |

Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College junior guard Kamari Williams (Springfield,
MA) scored his
1,000th career point in the Anchormen’s, 75-68, win over
Southern Maine on Saturday afternoon. Williams is the 26th
member of the RIC Men’s Basketball 1,000 Point Club. He had ten points
and brought his career total to exactly 1,000 on a three-pointer with
7:33 left in the second half. |

The Anchormen fired up 35
three-pointers, making 14 of them, the second most attempts by the
team this winter. Junior forward Brian Stanko (Swansea,
MA) led RIC with a
17-point, five-rebound effort. Stanko and freshman guard Tirrell
Hill (Bronx, NY)
each made three, three-pointers in the game. Senior guard Kevin
Payette (Woonsocket,
RI) had 12 points,
four assists and three boards. Hill had 11 points, while junior guard
Kinsey Durgin (Greenwood,
ME) dished out
seven assists to go along with eight points and three steals. |

USM junior forward Ian
Hebert (New
Gloucester, ME) led
all scorers with 19 points. Senior forward Bill Hardwick (Boothbay,
ME) had 17 points
and six rebounds. Sophomore guard Andy Frost (Brewer, ME) had
17 points, five rebounds, four assists and a game-high six steals. |

In upcoming action, RIC will
play at UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. The Huskies
will host UMass Boston on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. |
