Kinsey
Durgin Named First Team
All-Little East and to All-Defensive Team;
Kaseem Johnson & Cameron Stewart Named to All-Rookie Squad

Providence,
RI—Rhode
Island College junior guard Kinsey Durgin (Greenwood, ME) was
named First Team All-Little East Conference and to the All-Defensive
Team for his performance in men’s basketball this season. Freshman
forward Kaseem Johnson (New Haven, CT) and fellow rookie guard
Cameron Stewart (Newport, RI) were named to the Little East
Conference Men’s Basketball All-Rookie Team. |

Durgin has
played in 26 games this season, starting all of them. He is averaging
13.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He
leads the team in scoring, assists and steals. He also leads the team
with 63 made three-point baskets and is shooting 39 percent
(63-for-160) from behind the arc. He is currently fifth in the LEC in
assists and tenth in scoring. |

|
Johnson has
played in 25 games, starting 12 of them. He is averaging 7.1 points,
and 5.8 rebounds per game. Johnson was named the Little East
Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week twice on the season. |

|
|
Stewart has
played in 22 games. He is averaging 5.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.2
assists and 1.0 steals per game. He is shooting 49 percent (24-for-49)
from three-point land, a mark that is second in the Little East. |

Head Coach
Bob Walsh’s team is 17-9 overall. The Anchormen are the fourth
seed in the upcoming 2006 ECAC N.E. Div. III Men’s Basketball
Tournament and will host fifth-seeded Coast Guard on Wednesday, Mar. 1
at 7 p.m. |
