Corriveau’s 12 Kills and Eight Digs Help Anchorwomen Win 10th

Providence, RI—Despite
being down game point on two occasions, Rhode Island College won the
third game, 33-31, and went on to take game four, 30-17, en route to a
3-1 win over Framingham State in collegiate women’s volleyball action.
The Anchorwomen improve to 10-7 overall, while the loss drops the Rams
to 9-3 on the season. |

Rhode Island College freshman
outside hitter Sharon Corriveau (Coventry, RI), who posted 12
kills and eight digs, was a driving force in the game three victory.
Senior middle hitter Erin Miga (Cranston, RI) was her dominant
self, logging match-high 13 kills to go along with five blocks. Senior
libero Stephanie Wojciechowski (North Kingstown, RI) recorded a
team-high 19 digs, while junior setter Jeanne Rosa (Milford, CT)
logged 24 assists. Rosa is 15 assists shy of becoming the
Anchorwomen’s all-time leader. |

Framingham State outside
hitter Stephanie Pratt (Attleboro Falls, MA) led the Rams with
12 kills and 37 digs. Junior setter Liz Pedro (Brockton, MA)
posted ten kills and 32 assists. Sophomore middle hitter Andrea
Larson (Milton, MA) posted a match-high six blocks. |

five matches. |

play at Little East Conference rival UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Oct.
